THE Tourist Information Centre in Great Malvern is not moving, said district council leader Serena Croad at a meeting this week.
She was answering a question from Chase ward councillor Joe Smith, who said many people were worried by rumours that the TIC office at the top of Church Street would be closed, and the service moved to Malvern Theatres.
Cllr Croad said the council had looked at the tourist information service to see if savings could be made.
But the consultation revealed the strong support for TICs in prominent town centre locations, and also showed that moving the offices would not be financially viable.
