ECO campaigner Briget Strawbridge from the BBC TV series It’s Not Easy Being Green was at the Fold in Bransford this week with her Big Green Bus to help inspire and promote awareness of the environment.
Briget and her team of volunteers use their specially-converted double decker to visit places around the country promoting green issues, providing help and advice and giving people information.
The Big Green Bus includes a green library, leaflets, samples and the volunteers and Briget herself are happy to talk to people about a wide range of issues from saving the planet to saving a few pennies. The aim is to help people take the next step wherever they are on their ‘green journey’ by providing the advice that will help them make decisions.
There is information on recycling, solar energy, saving energy, natural fabric and cosmetics, living greener and spending less. For more information about the Big Green Bus, its contents, and the charity The Big Green Idea go to www.thebiggreenidea.org.
