Barnards Green's Jakob Bhula's 217-run innings stole the headlines as they thrashed West Bromwich Dartmouth in a Birmingham Premier League Division One clash.

The season's best batting performance saw the Kiwi star deal an astonishing 18 sixes in his 144-ball batting rampage.

Bhula partnered up with skipper Ryan Tongue, who added 77 runs of his own for a 200-run stand, and Mahaz Ahmed who added 27 to a 129-run partnership, as Barnards Green posted a mammoth 386-run innings.

The innings ended prematurely as Tongue mercifully declared five overs early at 386/3, however the stubborn Dartmouth, speared on by a grit-filled innings from Danny Cox and Brinder Phagura, admirably saw the hosts through 60 overs to a losing draw at 154/8, despite George Rhodes claiming 3-38.
