THE Malvern Buzzards took to the Yorkshire Dales last weekend to compete in the Pen Y Ghent 50km Ultramarathon as part of the club's fourth birthday celebrations.

Buzzards, who had nine runners compete, were the best represented team in terms of numbers.

Sarah Armstrong was the first female at the event to cross the line in 5 hours 59 minutes, finishing with team mates, Sam Burnage, Simeon Foreman and Steve Beldon finishing joint 14th place overall.

Alison Webb, Megan James, Nicola Brighton and Kate Dolphin finished in 7 hours with Captain Lily Price setting a new PB in 7 hours 35 minutes.
