RAW sewage that burst from an overflowing drain plagued Malvern residents for the fourth time in a month.
It is not unusual for the manhole cover on the holding tank in Greenfields Road to lift after a heavy downpour but following the recent flooding, sewage has spewed onto the streets.
David Williams, 73, of Green-fields Road, said: "When the tank was put in eight or so years ago, Severn Trent Water engineers said it would only flood once every 150 years. It has flooded at least twice a year."
The new development proposed for North Site and 400 extra houses-worth of effluent that it would bring is the biggest concern for residents.
Clare Allen, also of Greenfields Road, said: "I can't help but wonder how much worse it will get when the proposed development is added to an already overloaded system."
