NEW members are needed for a group which provides advice to West Mercia Constabulary.

The Disability Independent Advisory Group is one of three which provides advice should a major or critical incident occur.

Each group comprises 12 members from across the force area, and meets six times a year.

Members draw on their own experience and expertise to advise West Mercia on its delivery of policing services and the effect they have on communities.

Membership is on a voluntary basis, but expenses will be paid.

Kate Arnett, chair of the group, said: "We're keen to hear from anyone over the age of 16, who has a disability and who feels they could actively contribute during meetings and who wants to be involved in shaping how policing is implemented in West Mercia."

Anyone interested in joining should call Kate Arnett on 07967 751498.
