A FORMER Malvern Hills district councillor has denied 17 charges of possessing indecent images of a child. Michael Angell appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Wednesday. Angell, aged 60, of King Edwards Road, Malvern, was allegedly caught with the images on November 15, 2006. The former Liberal Democrat/Green councillor stood down before the May elections. He was alleged to have 11 level one images, two level two images and three level four images, level five being the most serious. He was granted bail and the case was adjourned until Wednesday, July 18.
