THE search is on for two new members for Malvern Town Council.
Vacancies have been created on the council by the resignations of councillors Roy Harding in the Chase ward and Anna Stenning in the Link ward.
Members of the public have until Thursday, July 25, to contact the returning officer at Malvern Hills District Council in writing to request an election.
If fewer than 10 from each ward request an vote, the posts will be filled by co-option.
No formal qualifications are required and it is not necessary to belong to a political party and you can be a candidate if you are over 18, on the electoral register and have lived, worked or owned property in the area for the past 12 months.
The returning officer can be contacted at Malvern Hills District Council, The Council House, Avenue Road, Malvern, WR14 3AF.
