UPTON is not alone in struggling to find an answer to the problem of dog fouling (Gazette, 9 March).
Incredibly, in the new development at Malvern Vale, where more than 80 per cent of residents are under 40 (and therefore there are a higher than usual number of young children) there is a complete absence of dog waste bins – or indeed litter bins of any description.
This is not only completely unacceptable for residents who are justifiably proud of their local community, but also for the many well-intentioned dog-walkers who cross the development and do not wish to leave the evidence of their doing so behind!
