MEMORIAL CONCERT FOR THE BATTLE OF THE SOMME

This is a very special and indeed unique concert, a dedicated memorial, in music and words, for the 100 years anniversary of the Battle of The Somme. We are proud of our fine War Memorial altar where we have a book containing researched history of soldiers named. Perhaps some things cannot be put in to words, this experience that thousands of men were involved in and so we have music. Music can give us that extra dimension to convey the sadness and loss for all involved. And so we are indeed honoured and privileged to be holding this concert on Saturday, November 12 at 7.30pm when Severn Voices Choir will perform. It is a commemoration in Vocal and Choral Music by French, German and British Composers, including Brahms, Howells, Ireland, Bach, Frith, Faure, Gurney & Lang. Wine and soft drink will be available at the interval. Tickets are £7.50, available in advance from Malvern Tourist Information Centre, www.severnvoices.com, or at the door. Children under 16 free, if accompanied by an adult. We won’t be here for the 200th anniversary, well, I don’t think so! so don’t miss this one and join us. On Sunday 13th November we begin our Remembrance Service at 10.45 a.m. we hope you can join us . And next Saturday, November 19 join us between 10am. and 12.30pm. for our Christmas Fair with lots of well stocked stalls and home-made cakes and hot drinks. www.chirstchurch-malvern.org.uk
