Birtsmorton
THE annual harvest supper at the Farmers Arms, Birtsmorton is a highlight of the year at this popular country pub.
Julie Moore organised a fantastic meal, and the many generous home-grown and home-made donations for the auction afterwards created a gorgeous display of autumnal colour.
A beautiful harvest loaf, with a delightful harvest mouse, was baked by Jill Moore.
Charles Rambridge, the saleroom manager for Philip Serrell's in Malvern, took the auction for the seventh year, with his usual aplomb, ably assisted by Ted Hill who identified the produce for him.
A fabulous sum of £410 was raised for two excellent causes, one national, one local: the Children's Society and Footsteps, which supports bereaved children and their families in Worcestershire.
