Last month, MPs voted to pass the Withdrawal Agreement Bill, which paves the way for the UK to leave the EU at the end of January by setting out how the UK will make ‘divorce payments‘ to the EU and also prohibits any extension to the transition period beyond the end of 2020.

There are a number of tools available that we are organising and supporting which will help local businesses ensure that they are ready for the planned EU exit including the International Trade Preparation Essentials Guide, a hard copy can be ordered for free and will ensure that your business is Brexit ready.

The guide has been developed in association with Strong & Herd LLP, and will help businesses meet the new compliances and requirements as they happen. The changes will cover a range of business activities, but the guide has been designed to help you start to act immediately by identifying the issues that will affect you and your company.

With the impending withdrawal from the European Union continuing to be a foremost topic on the UK’s political landscape, the Worcestershire Growth Hub, in association with Strong & Herd LLP, is hosting a series of free practical and informative training sessions to help Worcestershire businesses understand the prevalent and underlying issues that will affect business.

The events will be held across the county and will cover several relevant topics, including: what changes after Brexit, preparing for Brexit, Exports and Imports, Working and travelling in the EU, GDPR and more.

The next free training event is to be held on January 16 at Chateau Impney, Droitwich, from 9am-12.30pm. There will also be an afternoon session from 1pm-4.30pm which will have the same agenda.

There are also a number of other dates scheduled for the free training event and if you would like any further details please get in contact.

Kevin Aisbitt, Growth Hub Manager for Worcestershire Business Central, said: “It is paramount for us to support local businesses through the practicalities of the UK leaving the European Union. I urge all businesses to attend to ensure that their business is prepared for any eventuality of Brexit.”
