Earlier this week (Monday 23 September), I was pleased to reveal the launch of Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce‘s Get Brexit Ready campaign to support with getting businesses prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

With the EU exit date just 36 days away it is important that all companies, regardless of size and sector, are considering the consequences of Brexit to avoid any potential interruption to business.

Working with the Department for International Trade, the campaign follows our interactions with over 4,000 locally that feel like the continuing political turbulence is taking its toll on contracts, investment decisions and on business confidence.

The services available through the Chamber of Commerce are able to support businesses from sole traders through to those trading internationally, helping with business planning both pre and post-Brexit.

Our team of International Trade advisors are here to support you with your EU exit related queries, and both Members and Non-members are able to take advantage of ‘real time’ coursess designed to guide you on what is needed to prepare for the changes ahead.

I would like to encourage businesses to attend our EU Exit preparation event on Friday, October 4, at Worcestershire County Cricket Club. The event will welcome industry experts to share best practice in regards to the current preparation for EU exit, and outline potential challenges and opportunities in relation to specific business functions across organisational structures and sectors.

This event will only take place if the UK is still set to leave the EU on Thursday, October 31. The event may also change or be postponed dependent on the course of negotiations and in consideration of either a “deal”, “no deal” or “flextension” scenario.
