A SWEET shop will be celebrating one year in the city centre.
Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe famous for its Victorian style interior and old fashioned sweets opened in June 2018.
On Saturday, June 1, the shop is having a birthday party to celebrate.
There will be a cake cutting from 11 am, and the owners are currently in the process of choosing a new charity to adopt and support in their second year, having supported Deaf Direct in the first.
All customers and friends, past and present, are welcome to pop in, the organisers say.
The business opened in 2004 and has now set up shops widely around the country, with more than 100 stores now open.
