THE Malvern headquarters of Fortis Living is being put up for sale at a guide price of £2.5 million.

The 21,200 sq ft self-contained office Festival House was purpose-built in 1999 and has been put on the market while the not-for-profit housing association prepares for its upcoming relocation to Worcester.

Harris Lamb has been appointed as the sole agent to sell the modern building which has parking spaces and convenient access links.

Jacqui Bayliss, director at Harris Lamb’s Worcester office, said: “This relocation has been a real joint effort across our in-house specialist teams.

"Further to our agency department acquiring a new site in Midland Road, Worcester for Fortis Living, and our planning team’s success in securing permission to develop it, the organisation instructed our building consultancy team to oversee the build of the new HQ.

“We’ve now been appointed as sole agents to sell the existing headquarters ready for its vacation in March 2019.

“Festival House is a detached, purpose-built, two-storey office building, with an additional 2,500 sq ft of space in the form of a detached 2,500 garage with store. Predominantly open plan, the office has some partitioned offices and meeting rooms, and also has 122 parking spaces,” she said.

“Located in a prominent position on the corner of Townsend Road and Grovewood Road two miles away from Malvern and just a mile from the mainline railway station at Malvern Link, the building is an ideal site for businesses.

“With freehold purchase opportunities within the region being very thin on the ground, we anticipate a great deal of interest."

Richard Grounds, an executive director at Fortis, said: “We have enjoyed many years at Festival House. Harris Lamb identified and acquired the new site at Midland Road, where the business is now overseeing the build on a new 15,000 sq ft office beside our existing office, Progress House."
