A TEENAGE girl was repeatedly punched in the face during a street brawl which left her with a broken nose.
Police in Malvern want to trace a passer-by who intervened, as they may be able to provide officers with an impartial account of what happened.
The 15-year-old girl was left with a fractured nose, swelling and bruising after another teenage girl hit her several times in the face during the fracas in Avenue Road.
PC David Wise, of West Mercia Police, said: “There were a number of people around at the time who witnessed the incident.
“However, they are all known to the parties involved.
“We are keen to trace the person who intervened and separated the two girls as they may be an independent witness and could give us an impartial account of what happened.
“Unfortunately, there is no description or further detail about who this passer-by may be, but I would imagine that the individual who broke up this altercation would certainly remember it.
“I would urge them to come forward as they could significantly help us with our inquiries.”
The attack happened on Friday, July 20.
If you are the person who intervened, please call PC Wise on 0300 333 3000 quoting reference 602/S/200712. or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
