PUPILS from Welland Primary School enjoyed a tasty learning opportunity when they visited a Bangladeshi restaurant in Upton-upon-Severn.
Teacher Caroline Matthews was invited by Pundits restaurant owner Sultan Chowdhury to bring a class to visit to help with their learning about different cultures and religions.
The youngsters were given the opportunity to taste and even try cooking many of the dishes from the restaurant’s menu, with the help of its head chef, Abdul Akhtar, and the rest of the staff.
Mr Chowdhury had previously visited the school, which was praised for its strong cultural links during a recent Ofsted inspection, to help children to compare Christianity and Islam.
