A 28-year-old Malvern man involved in growing drugs that could have been worth £2.3 million is to appear in court again for sentence when the value has been decided.
Samuel Townsend, of Spring Gardens, appeared at Worcester Crown Court after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing to producing 936 cannabis plants.
They were found in two properties he owned and the prosecution say they had a potential yield of 72 kilograms, worth between £917,000 and £1.5 million and with a potential street value of £2.3 million.
But John Hodginkson, defending, told the court only 80 of the plants were close to harvesting so the actual value was closer to £134,000.
Judge John Cavell adjourned sentencing to a date within the next six weeks in order for the value to be established.
