THE April meeting is Members Night.
After the singing of Jerusalem a minute’s silence was held for fellow member Beryl Brain.
The normal business was completed and details of the crafts show in October would be available next month.
The fundraising skittles evening made a profit of £89. It was great evening and it was great to have the new members there.
The next fund-raising event will be a pudding evening in July.
Members Sylvia, Jean and Madaline took over for the rest of the evening.
The speaker was Sylvia’s husband John, who gave a very interesting talk about his life in Callow End in the late 30s and early 40s. It’s amazing all the changes that have taken place in the village. He was thanked by Sandra.
Tea and cakes were served and Helen closed the evening thanking the members’ committee for a very interesting evening.
