THE Malvern Singers, with their musical director Edwina Ward and accompanied on the piano by Ron Ward returned once again to entertain the friends of Christchurch Broadheath. The singers performed a mixture of readings and song, starting with a spirited rendition of Gloria in Excelsis by Jay Althouse.

A variety of secular and popular songs followed including, May You Always Have a Song by Sally K.Albrecht and Jay Althouse, Every time I feel The Spirit by Alan Simmons, The Music’s Always There With You by John Rutter, Fields Of Gold by Sting and a swinging version of Blue Skies by Irving Berlin and Steve Zegree.

The second half started with I Dreamed a Dream by CM Schonburg and Alwyn Humphreys, and some Magic Moments from Nice and Easy, a Perry Como Medley by Alan Simmons, A Claire Benediction by John Rutter The friends of Christchurch raised £290 towards the church funds and the evening ended with a very welcoming tea or coffee and cakes.
