SIXTH form students from Malvern’s Chase School took part in the Worcester round of a national inter-school war games competition and won.
The team, Matt Anthony, Stuart Hawkins, Chris Moore, Callum Munroe and Guy Thwaites, played 12 games of the popular Warhammer table-top game, in which miniature figures do battle. They lost only two, comfortably making it through to the next round.
Headteacher Kevin Peck, who accompanied the boys, said: “They were by far the best organised of the teams. I think it was great for these boys, who had the opportunity to represent their school and to show such initiative, doing really well for themselves and The Chase.”
The Midlands round of the competition takes place in Nottingham on Tuesday, March 27.
