I WAS looking forward to my aunt’s 80th birthday party in Yorkshire this evening (Friday March 9).
Instead I am at home, working out how to get a refund for my £160 train tickets.
We had arrived at Great Malvern train station, to discover the 13.10 train had been cancelled (as indeed was the next train an hour later).
I overheard another lady on the platform saying she had experienced cancellations the last few times she had used this station. How can train operators simply cancel trains? Malvern deserves a better service. If you can’t trust a train to run, you stop using it.
