A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs and money laundering as part of an ongoing clampdown on organised crime.
The man, who is in his 40s, was arrested in Malvern on Friday after police searched properties in Mayfield Road, Madresfield Road, Worcester Road and Langland Avenue, executing warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Detective Inspector Richard Rees, who is co-ordinating the investigation, said: “This is part of an ongoing operation targeting organised criminality in Malvern.
“As a result of today’s searches, a quantity of cash has been seized and a man is currently being questioned by officers. Malvern is a safe place to live and we will not tolerate organised crime in our area.”
Anyone with any information regarding the supply of drugs in the town can call police on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
