THE Christmas Activity Morning last Saturday was very well attended. The young people had a very productive time gluing, sticking and painting as well as decorating some delicious Christmas biscuits. Reverend Chris explained the true meaning of Christmas and gave everyone something to think about over the Christmas period. Thank you to all those people who came to help with this event. We couldn’t have managed without you!

Bridge Builders enjoyed a great time at their Christmas Party last Sunday. They even had an unexpected visit from a very quick witted Santa who came to distribute presents at the end of the party.

On Christmas Eve, there will be a Crib Service at St Mary’s Church, Longdon, beginning at 5pm. This is an ideal service for very young children and a chance for them to hear the Christmas Story. During the service, they will be invited to participate by bringing characters from the Bible Story to place inside the Crib and also by joining in the singing of Away in a Manger. There is also a special treat for little people as they leave the church.

There will be a Family Communion service at St Mary’s on Christmas Day beginning at 10am. There will be a service of Holy Communion at St Nicholas’ Church Queenhill at 8.30am.
