We learn that the Queen's Own Worcestershire Hussars will hold their annual training camp for 1912 at Eastnor Castle, Ledbury, by kind permission of Lady Henry Somerset, and not Salisbury Plain, as previously announced. The period fixed will embrace the Whitsuntide Holidays. The ground is an admirable one for training, and is conveniently situated for those members of the corps whose business demands an occasional visit during the 15 days' camp. The Queen's Own Worcestershire Hussars trained at Eastnor in 1905, and it was generally agreed at the time that the camps was one of the best the regiment had attended.

"The show must go on" was the spirit of the North Malvern Infants' School Christmas concert, given at the school on Thursday week. in spite of the mumps epidemic, - two more children were away on the morning of the concert itself, and one even fell ill that afternoon. the children worked staunchly, doubling parts, in order to put on the concert as it had been planned. They succeeded so well that no-one in the audience would have known about the last-minute change if they had not known. Welcoming the parents and friends, the headmistress, Miss J Landsell, pointed out what a great day this was for the small children.

Over 400 people have signed a second petition which was being considered by the new Malvern Wells Parish Council on Wednesday. A petition was last sent direct to the Post Office about four years ago but was turned down flat.

Carnival Day in Ledbury is set to undergo a major rejig next year, with the abandonment of the Munsley Crossroads showground in favour of a number of smaller sites in the town centre, with some of attractions to be held undercover. The carnival committee felt a move to the town centre was in the best interests of the carnival in the future.
