We regret to chronicle the death of the Rev Canon Raymond Percy Pelly, who succeeded Dr Gregory Smith as Vicar of Great Malvern in 1896 and held the living for 12 years. For some weeks he had been seriously ill at his residence near St Leonard's-on-Sea, his condition occasioning great anxiety. He passed away on Monday evening, and, on a message conveying the sad news being received in Malvern, the bell of the Priory Church was tolled.
