EVERYONE will now have received the leaflet about the proposed new pavilion on the playing fields – but have you returned it? There has been plenty of discussion among village residents about the idea, and a variety of concerns and questions raised - Who uses the field? Who would use it if there was a pavilion? We need loos for families using the play equipment. Does the village need another community building? etc, are all things I’ve heard, and then there are those who never go to the playing fields and/or have no opinions. I have been asked by the committee to jog your memories and remind you to return the completed questionnaire – and, may I just say that, if you are able to go on-line, there is much more space to have your say on the website version - www.westmalvernpavilion.org Meg Farmer came to last week’s WI meeting to talk about her life and experiences as a foster carer; her anecdotes were full of fun and, also, occasional sadness. A mother and part-time nurse, she described herself as having “an overdose of maternal hormones” - but 98 children! The 40+ women present were full of admiration - sometimes two are quite enough! The subject for next month is not yet confirmed, but there will be a Book Swap.

A little reminder that the new initiative in forms of worship continues this Sunday with Abba Amma : One God as Father and Mother as subject for the special Service at St James .

Many people have now visited the refurbished Regents College Campus, but if you haven’t, the College is again having a Regents Experience day on Sunday, March 13. You would have the opportunity to tour the college, find out what happens there, listen to some students’ stories, enjoy a roast lunch and explore the grounds. The day starts at 10.30am with coffee and ends with coffee and cake at 3.30pm. Tickets cost £5 and can be obtained from the village shop or by contacting trudi.smyth@regents-tc.ac.uk.
