AT February's meeting, members of Parkway WI celebrated the branch's 65th anniversary with a party. Members also made good progress with their current project, which is to archive their collective memories of times past, this being the National Year of Speech, Language and Communication. Several ladies gave readings; life as a student radiologist in London, a young mother's first experience of the WI, the responsibilities of a Land Army girl and an account of a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
The next meeting of Parkway WI will be held on Tuesday, March 8. A talk on Elgar will be given. The competition will be O; there will be a trading stall.
Parkway WI meets every second Tuesday in the Baptist Church Rooms, Ledbury, from 2pm. Visitors are most welcome.
