A BRIC-A-BRAC fair at Upton Baptist Church has raised more than £1,500 for the church’s building fund.
Baptist Church member Bob Read is a former employee of Barclays, and as such the bank agreed to sponsor the event by matching any proceeds up to £750.
The event raised £823, bringing the grand total to £1,573 with Barclays’ contribution.
Mr Read’s wife Ayleen said: “Everyone enjoyed a very fun and happy day and we would like to say a big thank you to Barclays and everyone who supported us.”
