THE Village Hall committee’s Table Top sale will take place this Sunday, April 11, from 2-5pm. If you want a table (£5) you should contact Chan Crawford on 01684568474 as soon as possible. For sellers with only a few articles, there will be a community table where items will be sold at 20% commission.

The Elim community are now well settled in the former St James’s School premises and as well as having brought back a shop to the village and are generous in inviting local people to various events at Regents College. By popular demand there will be another (the third) Regents Experience Day on Sunday April 18 giving visitors a chance to see over the renovated premises and grounds and gain insight into the activities of the college in our midst. For details/bookings ring Sophie Lavery on 588940 or email sophie/lavery@elimhq.net.

Further ahead, there will be a bluebell walk in the grounds on May 2. Details on this at the village shop, or email trudi.smyth@regents-tc.ac.uk. There will be a small entrance charge to this event with all proceeds going to the St James’s Primary School Building Fund, whose fundraisers are still working hard to keep up the momentum as the final £70,000 target draws nearer. The current venture is the PTA’s Grand Prize Draw, for which the £5 tickets will give buyers the chance of a range of prizes which include a day for two at Malvern Spa, and ipod touch, and a night at the Pudding Club Hotel at Stratford. Tickets can be bought online at www.helpstjames.org, at the school office and at The Knitting Parlour in Great Malvern. The draw will take place at a St George’s Evening hosted by Pepper& Oz on April; 23. There is also time (but only just!) to take part in the PTA Buy a Brick scheme – details on the website as above.

Chris Bocock, MHDC Chief Executive will be the guest speaker at the Annual Parish Meeting at the Village Hall on May 10 at 7pm. Any resident wishing to take advantage of the opportunity to put a question to Mr Bocock should let Parish Clerk David Sharp know the subject matter of the question as soon as possible.
