A SHEEP dog trial has raised over £1,800 for various national and local charities, of which £250 has now been presented to Midlands Air Ambulance.
The Mathon Sheep Dog Association held its annual trial near Malvern in July 2008, with over 70 dogs and their owners taking part. The proceeds from the event were divided between several leading causes.
Harold Davies has been associated with the trials for 45 years and was pleased to be asked to present the duty flight crew at Midlands Air Ambulance with a cheque this week He said: “The association is delighted to be able to present the proceeds of our Sheep Dog Trial to various charities and we are particularly pleased to award the local Air Ambulance with a donation this year.”
Annie Newell, area fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance, said: ”We are extremely grateful to the organisers and all those people who supported our charity at this event.”
