A teen boy carrying a machete-style blade has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing after a police chase through Worcester city centre.
The 16-year-old was apprehended earlier today (Tuesday), after officers responded to reports of suspected drug activity near The Cross around midday.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "The suspect fled the scene and PC Storey swiftly followed on foot before he caught up with him in the Sansome Walk area and found a machete-style blade in his bag."
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and possession of a bladed article, and remains in custody.
