POP Idol winner Gareth Gates 'had a blast' in Malvern as he showed behind-the-scenes footage of his visit there. 

Mr Gates was performing at Malvern Theatres last night (Sunday, September 30) on the opening night of his Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons tribute tour. 

The 'Oh What a Night' tour sees Mr Gates performing the iconic group's biggest hits, such as Can't Take My Eyes Off of You, Big Girls Don't Cry, My Eyes Adored You and December 63.

Following his performance, Mr Gates posted behind-the-scenes footage of his time in Malvern to Instagram.

The footage shows Gates looking around the Malvern Theatres, rehearsing on the stage and performing in the show. 

On the Instagram post, Mr Gates wrote: "We had a blast at Malvern Theatres last night- who came to watch the show?"
