A boutique hotel and restaurant is celebrating Malvern's musical legends with three new cocktails.

To mark the launch of its covered terrace, mixologists at The Cottage in the Wood have introduced 'Musical Legend Cocktails', which are inspired by composer Sir Edward Elgar, vocalist Jenny Lind and Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts.

The hotel's mixologists have paid homage to the artists through their newly crafted cocktails.

Patrons can enjoy a Hope & Glory, a whisky concoction commemorating Elgar, who once performed at the hotel.

A gin and violet Nightingale is a nod to former Malvern resident Lind, also known as The Swedish Nightingale.

To honour Watts, who used to stay at the hotel every summer, there's a champagne and schnapps drink named Summer Stones.

The hotel's award-winning menu can be enjoyed on the new terrace, which is now heated and covered.

For a more laid-back set-up, the Lounge Bar has armchairs and sofas for patrons to lounge on with cocktails.

On the walls are quirky records, art and images of musical legends.

The lower terrace is the go-to spot for informal drinks and lighter meals with a view of the Worcestershire countryside.

The hotel's general manager, Michael Pearson, said: "The Musical Legend cocktails and the opening of our terrace creates an immersive experience that captures the essence of Malvern's musical history.

"We want guests to celebrate and ignite the passion for music and creativity while honouring the legendary artists who have left a permanent mark on Malvern."

The hotel is also hosting a live jazz event featuring Ben Drummond on Bank Holiday Monday (May 27), between midday and 2pm.

The Musical Legend cocktails start from £14.
