THE grand finale of the Mayor’s end-of-year event – ‘Ledbury’s Got Talent’ took centre stage at John Masefield High School and Sixth Form Centre and the talented Angelina Gill was the winner.

Residents of Ledbury gathered to watch the contestants go head-to-head for first place in the talent show to win a £100 cash prize along with a glitzy trophy, and an opportunity to perform at the Ledbury Christmas Lights switch on.

Angelina – performing under the name of Angelina X - was victorious as the winner of Ledbury’s Got Talent 2024! Lisa Summers secured second position, while Harper Richardson closely followed in third place.

The Mayor of Ledbury for 2023/24, Helen I’Anson, said “Congratulations should go to all the participants who displayed their skills during the event.

“The fundraising event ‘Ledbury’s Got Talent’ has successfully collected a remarkable amount of £1,307.13. This brings the total amount raised for my selected charities, Megan Baker House and Close House Projects, to £2,645.72 this year.

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in the event, including the Town Council staff, JMHS staff, our esteemed Judges – Ben Lea, Quentin Letts, Nic Lloyd and Donald Richardson, as well as the event sponsors Eastnor Castle and Jaga UK, and all the local businesses that generously contributed to the raffle draw.”
