CITY have today announced their retained list – with Brad Halliday and Bobby Pointon both tied down for another year.
Harry Chapman, Liam Ridehalgh and veteran striker Matt Derbyshire were the biggest names among those who will not be offered new deals.
The Bantams have activated the options to extend the contracts of player-of-the-year Halliday and Pointon by a further season.
Skipper Richie Smallwood and Sam Stubbs also triggered clauses to automatically earn another year.
City have offered new terms to Jamie Walker and Matty Platt as well as Colin Doyle, who will continue to double up as the goalkeeping coach in Graham Alexander’s squad.
Noah Wadsworth has been released despite making his debut with two appearances from the bench this season.
Luke Hendrie, who made only one sub outing in the Carabao Cup last season before re-joining former club Hartlepool on loan, has also gone as well as Dylan Youmbi, Finn Cousin-Dawson, Harvey Rowe, Heath Richardson, Isaac Robinson, Noah Wadsworth and Sam Bentley.
It is expected that City will also try to shift several players who are still in contract but have not featured.
