Shabaz Ali will be in conversation with Tez Ilyas at King George’s Hall at a special show following the launch of his new book.

The event is being hosted by Waterstones and will take place on Wednesday (24 April) at 7.30pm.

Shabaz Ali, known as Shabaz Says on TikTok, has released his book 'I’m Rich, You’re Poor: How to Give Social Media a Reality Check', inspired by his viral videos where he mocks social media’s super rich.

He has picked up millions of followers on TikTok after launching his channel during lockdown.

Shabaz said: “I wrote this book to remind people of how extraordinary it is to be ordinary, to take pride in the lives we have and laugh at social media instead of comparing ourselves to it."

The book launch comes after an amazing year for the social media star during which he scooped a number of awards.

Tez announced his own new stand-up tour for the autumn 'After Eight' which will run from September to November 2024.

He is set to descend on Blackburn’s King George’s Hall, on November 22.

Tez will visit other Lancashire towns and cities, including The Dukes theatre in Lancaster, on October 5, and Chorley Theatre, on September 20.
