A care home has celebrated a major milestone with a topping out ceremony.

Rotherwood Healthcare has lauded the progress on its newest endeavour, the Colwall Care Home.

The ceremony saw Rotherwood chairman Richard Claridge, CEO John Fennell, and head of projects Shivam Radia, along with officials from LNC Property Developments, marking the event by fitting the final piece of the roof onto the structure.

The project, spearheaded by Lawrence and Finlay Architects, aims to redefine elderly care standards with its state-of-the-art setup.

Set against the backdrop of the Malvern Hills, the facility plans to house 60 residents, offering features such as a bar at home and cinema room.

Each suite boasts a full en-suite bathroom and modern finishing touches.

CEO John Fennell said: "We're delighted to witness the progress of Colwall Care Home as it takes shape.

"This home will meet the growing demand for quality care in the region and provide a luxurious and enriching environment for our residents."

The topping-out ceremony signals an important stride towards the expected launch of Colwall Care Home in July.

Rotherwood Healthcare has said the milestone signifies a step forward in upholding its commitment to elderly care excellence, adding that the new care home stands as a symbol of the group’s devotion to excellent living experiences for older adults.

The company has been recognised for its services by winning awards across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Shropshire, where it offers residential, nursing, and dementia care.
