A VICTIM of a bump and run incident in Worcestershire says it is "annoying" that people are getting away without owning up.

Anna Bradley, from Malvern, found her car had suffered considerable damage after parking on a layby outside her partners property.

The incident happened yesterday evening (Friday) on Swinyard Road in Malvern between 5.30 and 7pm.

Miss Bradley alerted residents to the damage that had been caused from the incident through the Malvern Hills Notice Board on Facebook - hoping for the culprit to come forward.

"It happened yesterday where my car was parked on the side of the road in the evening between 5.30-7pm," she said.

"Luckily it is not a write off, there is a decent dent on the side of the car.

"It's a very wide road. I was parked in a natural layby and there were no other cars around me.

"I mentioned to my partner that I hope my car would be safe there and before you knew it, it was too late and my car had been hit."

Miss Bradley, aged 25, said neither she or any neighbours saw who was responsible for the incident, which has left her with hundreds of pounds of damage.

She is waiting to see if a business that has CCTV may have footage of the vehicle before going through insurance claims.

"I'm not long fresh out of university and I only bought the car this year," she said.

"I have invested a lot in it. I am proud of it, I keep it clean and look after it and then someone goes and damages it.

"It's extremely frustrating because I don't have a lot of money to play with and insurance for cars is skyrocketing.

"It's probably going to cost me a couple of hundred pounds to repair and I need my car for my job.

"It's frustrating that these people don't own up to it."

Miss Bradley said since her post other people have mentioned that they had suffered similar incidents in recent days.

"Since I put it on Facebook there has been three similar incidents people have mentioned in the past couple of days.

"It's annoying that these people are getting away with it."
