A CAR has been abandoned in a turning area near a popular beauty spot and tourist attraction in the Malvern Hills and could soon be seized and destroyed.

The silver Peugeot 308 was spotted abandoned in a turning area in Foley Terrace near St Ann's Well in the Malvern Hills on Saturday (March 30).

The car has now been there for almost a month according to a document placed on the passenger side window warning the owner to remove the vehicle.

The notice from Malvern Hills District Council reads:  "The council believes that this vehicle has been abandoned without lawful authority and is harming the amenity of the local area.

"There is a possibility that the vehicle may also attract vandalism if left in situ."
