A DOG lover's burning passion for pooches has been turned into a new business which will open to customers soon.

Kerry's Canines, a self-run dog grooming business based in Meadow Road near Claines in Worcester, is preparing to open its doors to the public on Saturday, April 6.

Behind the business is Kerry Wheeler, an animal lover who has always had a burning passion for working with dogs and has now turned her passion into a career.

Offering a quiet retreat from a peaceful home cabin, Mrs Wheeler said it is an ideal getaway for any anxious dog.

"I have always loved working with animals, but I have a passion for working with dogs especially," she said.

"I qualified as a dog groomer a couple of years ago in 2022. I have always loved dogs.

"I recently just changed from the previous job as a data analyst so it's quite a big change and a really good opportunity."

Mrs Wheeler, who lives in Worcester but is originally from Greater Malvern, said the business will offer a service that is "tailored to a customers' needs".

"I offer a full dog grooming service that is tailored to a customers needs.

"From a full bath, dry and clean, and pampering, we style everything to customer preference.

"It's a perfect environment for anxious dogs, they will only be in the cabin with myself. It's a good way of building a relationship with them."

Kerry's Canines only offer drop-off appointments and will be open three days a week.

Prices will start at £36 for a full groom and will vary depending on dog size, coat type, length, condition and grooming needs.

"I would like to become really well known in Worcester as a business, particularly for working with anxious dogs in the area and creating a nice, quiet space for them," said Mrs Wheeler.
