THE following cases were heard at Worcester Magistrates Court recently. 

 

ALEXANDER HAWKES, 51, of Shirley Road, Droitwich, admitted three charges of possession of indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child. 

The 51-year-old did not enter a plea to three charges of sexual assault. 

Hawkes had the images in Droitwich between April 20, 2021, and June 21, 2023. 

Magistrates heard the defendant had 190 videos and images at category A - the highest category in the guidelines; 120 videos and images at category B and 70 videos and images at category C level.

The defendant, who was given conditional bail, was told the case would be adjourned for a pre-sentence report. 

Hawkes appeared at Worcester Crown Court on February 29.

Hawkes was told to attend the next hearing of the case at Worcester Crown Court on April 2. 

 

JAMES ROGERS, of Dilmore Avenue, Fernhill Heath, Worcester, admitted drink driving. 

The 29-year-old drove a BMW in Upton Warren on January 11 this year when he had 53 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg. 

Rogers admitted the offence when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 29. 

Rogers was disqualified from driving for 15 months, which will be reduced if Rogers successfully completes a drink-drive awareness course. 

The defendant was also fined £346, and ordered to pay costs of £135 and £138 victim surcharge. 

Magistrates told Rogers to pay the total amount of £619 within 29 days.

RIKKI JANKOWSKI, who gave the courts a care-of address of Packington Road, Droitwich, admitted affray. 

The 39-year-old committed the offence on June 17, 2023 in Droitwich. 

Jankowski appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 1. 

Magistrates gave the defendant a two-year conditional discharge, warning if he committed another offence within that period he would be doubly punished. 

Jankowski was also ordered to pay £185 costs. 

 

DANIEL MURPHY, of Bruton Avenue, Copcut, Droitwich, admitted common assault of an emergency worker. 

The 27-year-old committed the offence on September 27 last year, the victim being Police Sergeant Steven Clarke.

Murphy appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 1. 

Murphy was given a 12-month community order and was told he must complete 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days, 

The defendant was fined £200 and ordered to pay £200 compensation to the officer. 

Murphy was also ordered to pay £135 costs and £114 victim surcharge. 

The defendant was told to pay the total amount of £649 within 28 days. 

 

CARL BAINBRIDGE, who gave the court a care-of address of Maggs Day Centre, St Albans, Deansway, admitted assault by beating. 

The 38-year-old committed the offence in Worcester on October 23 last year. 

Bainbridge appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 1. 

The defendant was fined £50. No order for costs or victim surcharge was made, due to Bainbridge's limited means.
