A ROAD on a Malvern estate has been cordoned off after a car crashed into a house this morning (Thursday).

The incident took place at around 9:47am, with police, ambulance and fire brigade all in attendance at the site of the crash.

A black Kia, believed to be the vehicle involved in the crash, was removed from the property and loaded on to a tow truck.

A second car - a white Kia - was also towed away with damage to a left rear panel and left-front wheel arch.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Three Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Malvern and one from Droitwich Fire Stations – were called at 9.47am on February 29 to a road traffic collision in Swinyard Road, Malvern, where a vehicle was in collision with a house.

"No persons were trapped. Gas and electricity were isolated to the property.

"Ambulance and police were also in attendance.

"From a fire service perspective, the incident was marked as pending closure at 11.36am."

A resident at one of the properties on the estate, who did not want to be named, said: "I came back home to find the scene - I had gone out shopping.

"I think it happened at about 9:30am.

"I know the occupants who live at the house and I think it was a deliberate act."
