A series of new suggestions have been received for Victoria Park's new skatepark.

A consultation event was held in Malvern Link on Tuesday, February 20 yielded useful feedback regarding the size, layout, location, and style of the skatepark.

However, due to the location of the ongoing construction of the community hub at Victoria Park, the site of the skatepark will require adjustment.

Seizing the chance, Malvern Town Council plans to modernise the skatepark using section 106 funding.

Town clerk, Linda Blake, said: "It was great to see the public consultation event so well attended and to receive such positive and useful feedback.

"Some of those attending the event thought that the outcome had already been decided by Council, but this is simply not the case.

"All ideas are welcome, with the aim being to create, develop and then refine an overall design based on what users of the park actually want."

The public still has the chance to have their say in the survey, open until 11.45pm on Friday, March 22.

A link can be found on the council website, where participants can express their preferences about features of the park.
