THE following cases were heard at Worcester Magistrates Court. 

 

DAVID FOXALL, of Loughmill Road, Pershore, admitted causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 26.

The 62-year-old committed the offence on February 21 last year on Worcester Road, Pershore, when he was driving a BMW 420. 

Foxall was disqualified from driving for two years. 

The defendant was given a one-year community order with the requirement to complete 200 hours of unpaid work. 

Foxall has also been ordered to pay costs of £185. 

 

JOHN HARRIOTT, of Henley Close, Worcester denies drug driving. 

The 36-year-old denied an offence of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit in November last year, the latest hearing of the case being heard at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 26. 

Harriott is accused of driving a Citroen on the B4084 in Worcester on August 12 last year when the amount of Benzoylecgonine, a breakdown of cocaine in the blood, was allegedly above the legal limit. 

Harriott, who has been given unconditional bail, has been told to attend his expected three-hour trial which is set to take place at the Kidderminster court on May 7.

STUART HALLIDAY, of Drake Avenue, Worcester, admitted driving while disqualified; two charges of drug driving and driving without insurance.

The 41-year-old committed all the offences on August 24 on the A449 Ombersley when Halliday was driving a Audi Q7. 

Halliday was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for a year - magistrates telling him only jail was appropriate due to the seriousness of the offences.

Halliday was ordered to complete 20 rehabilitation activity days.

Halliday was also ordered to pay costs of £135 when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 26.

 

SPENCER SYMONS, of Severn Side, Stourport-on-Severn, who had admitted sexual assault on a female was sentenced at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 26.

The 52-year-old committed the offence in Stourport on April 24 last year. 

Symons was given a one-year community order with various requirements including to complete 160 hours of unpaid work. 

The defendant was ordered to pay £200 compensation, £185 costs and £114 victim surcharge. 

 

DYLAN STEPHENS, of Sheepscombe Drive, Worcester, denies assault by beating of an emergency worker. 

The crown alleges the 20-year-old assaulted a police office in Worcester on October 18, 2022. 

Stephens originally denied the offence in July last year, the latest hearing of the case being heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 26. 

Stephens, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend his expected three-hour trial at Worcester Magistrates Court on June 17.

MATTHEW Stephens, of Goldsmith Road, Worcester, is accused of assault by beating of an emergency worker. 

The prosecution alleges the 36-year-old assaulted a police officer in Worcester on October 18, 2022. 

Stephens originally denied the offence in July last year, the latest hearing of the case being heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 26. 

Stephens, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend his expected three-hour trial at Worcester Magistrates Court on June 17.

 

MATTHEW BARKER, of Talavera Road, Norton, Worcester, admitted a charge of failing to provide a specimen - person in charge of a vehicle. 

The 42-year-old committed the offence on November 16 last year in Malvern - Barker not providing a specimen of breath for analysis when requested and without reasonable excuse to do so.

Barker appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 26. 

Barker was banned for six months and fined £669. 

He was also ordered to pay costs of £135 and victim surcharge of £268.
