THE following cases were heard at Worcester Magistrates Court and Kidderminster Magistrates Court. 

 

SEBASTIAN FELL, of Impney, Droitwich Spa, denied a charge of failing to provide a specimen. 

The 29-year-old is alleged to have committed the offence on January 23 in Worcester. 

Fell, who is on unconditional bail, was told to attend his trial - which is expected to last three hours. 

The case was heard at the court on February 20. 

 

MATTHEW TAYLOR, of Lazy Lane, Fladbury, near Pershore, admitted possession of a knife and axe.

The 54-year-old admitted two charges of possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place when he appeared at the court on February 20. 

Police found Taylor had a bowie knife and hatched axe at the long-stay car park in Bewdley Street, Evesham, in the boot of his car on January 24.

Taylor was given a three-month jail sentence, suspended for a year.

As part of the suspended sentence order Taylor has to do 60 hours of unpaid work. 

Magistrates ordered the destruction of the axe and knife. 

Taylor was ordered to pay costs of £185 and £154 victim surcharge. 

 

JAMES YARWOOD, of Krier Fields, Pershore, denied possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place. 

The crown alleges the 42-year-old committed the offence at the long stay car park in Bewdley Street, Evesham, on January 24. 

Yarwood is accused of having in his possession a locking knife. 

Yarwood denied the offence when he appeared at the court on February 20.

The defendant, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend his expected 20-minute trial which was scheduled to take place on May 15 this year. 

 

JAKUB KOSTA, of Hunters Place, Droitwich, denied assault by beating. 

The 41-year-old is alleged by the prosecution of committing the offence in Droitwich on July 19. 

Kosta pleaded not guilty to the offence when he appeared at the court on February 20. 

Kosta, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend his trial - which is expected to last 20 minutes - at the court on June 13.

STEPHEN KEARNEY, of Tallow Hill, Worcester, denies burglary other than dwelling - theft.

The 45-year-old is accused by the prosecution of committing the burglary at the Co-op stores in Worcester on October 10, 2021. 

Kearney is accused of stealing alcohol valued at £679.84. 

Kearney appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 19.

The defendant was told to return to the court for his expected 20-minute trial on June 13. 

Kearney was given unconditional bail.

 

WILLIAM LOVERIDGE, of Linden Avenue, Stourport, admitted using violence to secure entry to premises and using threatening/abusive words / behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. 

The 45-year-old committed the offences in Hermitage Way, Stourport, on August 26 last year. 

Loveridge appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 19. 

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report. 

Loveridge, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend his sentencing hearing on March 25 at the court.
