The Met Office has also warned people to be aware of flood warnings, recommending to stay up to date with the forecast in your area.

Heavy rain is scheduled to reach Worcestershire by late afternoon today (5pm) and run through to the early hours of Sunday morning.

Many places are likely to see 10-15 mm of rain, although 30-40 mm is possible over higher ground in western areas.

The Met Office has warned that the rain could lead to delays for train and bus services, with spray and flooding making road journeys longer.

It also stressed that power supplies and other services could be interrupted.
