A PENSIONER was injured after a crash left a car "on its roof".

Wells Road in Malvern was blocked in both directions last night (Tuesday) after a car crash.

A woman in her 70s was removed from the car by firefighters and left in the care of an ambualnce crew.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "An HWFR crew from Malvern Fire Station was called at 7.39pm on February 13 to make a vehicle safe after a road traffic collision in Wells Road, Malvern.

"The incident involved one vehicle which was on its roof.

"A female casualty in her 70s had been extricated from the vehicle before the arrival of the fire service and was handed over to the care of the ambulance service who attended along with police.

"The road was blocked in both directions.

"The incident was marked as pending closure at 8.11pm."
