If you find yourself with these four "rare" 50p coins, you could profit considerably.

Four "must have" 50p coins have been sold from a Worcester address on eBay's auction site for a considerable sum.

The Diversity Built Britain, Benjamin Bunny, Victoria Cross Medal, and Withdrawal from the European Union coins were sold at 40x their collective face value.

The seller had tried to sell them for £150 - but only received £80.

In the item description, the Worcester seller said: "Very rare and collectable coins for every coin collector must haves -  all four coins for £150."

The buyer also had to fork out 75p for postage.

What is the Diversity Built Britain 50p coin?

Designed by Dominque Evans, the 50p celebrates the important work people did for Britain.

Royal Mint said: "The contribution of ethnic minority communities has been such an important part of that story but has often gone unrecognised.

"This coin has been created to celebrate all the people who have made Britain what it is today."

What is the Victoria Cross Medal 50p coin?

A spokesperson for Royal Mint said: "The Royal Mint Victoria Cross 50p coins bear two different designs.

"The first, depicting the Victoria Cross medal, was produced to mark the institution of the medal itself, and the other, showing a soldier carrying a wounded comrade, celebrates the heroes associated with it.

"Both coins entered into general circulation in 2006, and many coin collectors speculate that the coins are rare, but with a combined mintage figure (how many were circulated) of 22,087,500, you are still in with a chance of coming across one of these coins in your change."
