An extreme sports film festival tour is set to stop off in Malvern for two dates later this year.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival will be screening thrilling new adventure films at the Forum Theatre on Friday, March 8 and Sunday, May 19.

The festival promises to bring extreme skiing, mountain biking, climbing, and more to audiences, featuring two new collections of gripping action films from remote regions of the globe.

Tour director Nell Teasdale said: "Get ready for an inspirational night of adventure from the wildest corners of the planet!

"With intrepid athletes, spectacular cinematography and a big dose of adrenaline, the Banff Mountain Film Festival stars the best new films from the world’s top adventure filmmakers.

"Plus, we guarantee you’ll be inspired to have an adventure of your own as well."

The festival also offers a free prize draw for attendees, with outdoor gear up for grabs.

The films comprise the best of the hundreds of entries into the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival held every November in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

In its 15th year, the UK and Ireland tour will visit over 50 locations throughout spring and autumn.

Some of the film highlights include 'Chronoception', an expedition along the Silk Road, 'Cross Countries', an ultimate biking journey across North America, and 'Going Greenland', a dream-fuelled voyage intertwining a renewable energy sailboat and an arctic ski expedition.
